Itinerary

Day 1

10:00 am – Arrival at Penang International Airport and meet and greet

10.45 am – Expected arrival at Homestay (Inap Desa). The guests will be given full welcome by villagers with bunga manggar decoration and the sound of kompang

11.00 am – Guests will be given a welcome drink and silat demonstration. They will be given an introduction about the village.

12.00 pm – Lunch (traditional kampung meal)

  • After lunch guests will be checked into their respective houses.

01.00 pm – Women guests will be given batik dan men will be given pelikat cloth. Solat and rest

03.00 pm – Guest to gather at homestay. Homestay owners will teach the guests how to wear and tie the batik and pelikat cloth.

03:30 pm – Traditional activity time

  • Learn to belah buah kepala & kukur kelapa activities (A traditional activity to cut the coconut)
  • Learn to cook the traditional kueh called Pek Nga (Tempek nyok) and Dangai.

05:15 pm – Bicycle tour activities

  • Bicycle around the villages to see the paddy fields and mangroves.
  • Guests can also see the fishermen returning home and watch the sunset

07:00 pm – Rest and solat

  • Dinner at Restoran Nelayan. Guests will be treated to a seafood dinner.
  • After dinner the program ends

Day 2

06:00 am – Subuh prayer at the masjid. Guests return to homestay for rest and breakfast at their own homestay

07:45 am – Depart for Penang Hill tour

12.00 pm – Lunch at Deen Nasi Kandar

01:30 pm – Solat at Kapitan Mosque in Georgetown.

  • Later guests will be given a tour and storytelling at Kapitan Mosque and Lebuh Acheh Mosque. The briefing will be on its history and architecture

04.30 pm – Tour to Chowrasta for souvenir shopping.

  • There, guests can also try the cendol, ais tingkap, air sarbat, cucur udang, laksa Penang, mee mamak and other streets food there.

06.45 pm – Depart for floating mosque at Tanjung Bungah to view the sunset, the architecture and Magrib prayer

08.00 pm – Depart for Batu Feringghi for dinner.

  • Dinner will be at Denish Restaurant for delectable beriani meal. After dinner, it is a free and easy activity. Guests can drop by the Night Market for street shopping

10.30 pm – Return to homestay

Day 3

06:00 am – Subuh prayer at the Pulau Bentong Mosque. Guests return to homestay for rest

07:00 am – Breakfast at homestay

08.00 am – Traditional game time

  • Guest can try the Tarik Upih, Terompah Tempurung Kelapa, Congkak and batu seremban

12.00 pm – Check out from Homestay.

  • Depart for Penang International Airport for flight.
